Introduction

The Solace Living (“we”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://thesolaceliving.net, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the site.

Information we collect

We collect a small amount of information, and only what we need to run the site:

Information you share directly. When you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address, and message. We use these solely to reply to you.
Cookies and similar storage. The site currently has analytics and advertising disabled and does not intentionally store optional cookies or similar browser data. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Server and security logs. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. These logs help us keep the site fast and block abuse.
Analytics data. Analytics is currently disabled, so we do not receive analytics reports.

We do not run accounts, comments, or newsletters at this time, so we do not collect passwords, profiles, or subscriber lists.

How we use your information

We use the information above to operate the site, answer your messages, and protect against abuse. Analytics and advertising are currently disabled. We never sell your personal information.

Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on these bases: our legitimate interests (site security and abuse prevention) and performance of a service you request (replying to a contact message).

Third parties we work with

We share limited data with the services that power the site:

Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site and processes server logs.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are currently disabled and do not receive data through this site.
Pinterest, when you use a Save button, which is governed by Pinterest’s own privacy policy.

Each provider processes data under its own terms. We do not control their independent practices.

Advertising personalization and opt-outs

Advertising personalization is currently inactive because advertising is disabled on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and provide any choices required by law.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to receive a portable copy, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@thesolaceliving.net. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Your rights under CCPA and CPRA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion of your personal information, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. To make a request, email hello@thesolaceliving.net and we will verify your identity before responding.

Children’s privacy

The Solace Living is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Data retention

We keep contact messages for up to 24 months so we can follow up on conversations, then delete them. Server logs are retained by Cloudflare under its own schedule. We do not store cookie consent choices because analytics and advertising are currently disabled.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data there or in other countries. Where data moves out of the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Security

We use HTTPS across the site, limit administrative access, and keep software updated. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows the current version, and material changes will be noted here.
