Ownership of site content

All content on https://thesolaceliving.net, including articles, photographs, illustrations, graphics, layouts, and the “The Solace Living” name and monogram, is owned by The Solace Living or our licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright law. All rights are reserved unless we say otherwise in writing.

What you may do without asking

You are welcome to link to any story, pin our images to Pinterest using our Save buttons for personal non-commercial boards, and quote brief excerpts (a sentence or two) with clear credit and a link back to the original page. These everyday forms of sharing help independent publishers and we encourage them.

What needs written permission

Beyond the sharing above, please ask first. In particular, do not republish full articles, reproduce our photographs on other websites or in print, use our images in advertising or merchandise, translate and republish our work, or present our content as your own. For permission requests, email hello@thesolaceliving.net with a description of what you would like to use and where it will appear. We answer most requests within two weeks.

Image and pin usage rules

Our photographs are made for this site. You may not download and re-upload them elsewhere, crop out credits, or feed them into datasets or AI training without permission. If you run a mood board or roundup and would like to feature our work with credit, write to us first; we usually say yes to thoughtful, credited use.

DMCA takedown notices

We respect the intellectual property of others and comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at hello@thesolaceliving.net containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim was infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you want removed, with the exact URL of the page.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

We will review complete notices promptly and remove or disable access to material we believe infringes.

Counter-notices

If your content was removed following a takedown notice and you believe the removal was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to hello@thesolaceliving.net containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material and its former URL.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts for your district (or, if outside the United States, any district where we may be found).

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material within 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant files a court action.

Designated agent

Our designated agent for copyright notices and counter-notices is reachable at hello@thesolaceliving.net. Please use “Copyright Notice” in the subject line so your message reaches the right person quickly.

Repeat infringer policy

We terminate or restrict access for users who repeatedly post or share infringing material, in appropriate circumstances as required by law.
